  • almond - shaped emerald green eyes, dark and vivid
  • short and sleek solid blue-grey colour coat with a silvery sheen (the bluish-grey is the dilute expression of the black gene)
  • Patting a Russian Blue has been described as running a silk scarf  through your hands
  • it has a lean, medium sized body
  • the coat is short and sleek
  • the coat is unique in that it is a double coat, with the underside being soft and downy and the longer guard hairs an even blue with silver tips
  • the tipping gives the coat a shimmering appearance
  • prominent whisker pads- they have been descibed as standing out like pin cushions or they almost appear as though they are smiling
  • their nose leather and paw pads are soft and lilac in colour
