At the Meriden Humane Society in Connecticut another highly unusual friendship has developed between a mother cat, Satin, and a six day old Rottweiler puppy called Charlie.
The puppy's mother rejected Charlie after she gave birth to two puppies, one being stillborn.
The Humane Society quickly found a suitable substitute mother for Charlie, Satin, who had recently given birth to four kittens of her own. She readily adopted the pup as her own.
Satin was surrendered to the Society after her owner was unable to care for her.
A heartwarming conclusion whereby four kittens and one Rottweiler pup snuggles into their Mum and substitute Mum, Satin, for warmth, love and security.
